Jessica Polito testimonial about the Downtown Fitness Club
Deciding to make lifestyle changes and becoming dedicated to health and fitness seem like obvious choices, especially at a time when our nation is plagued with laziness, obesity and quick fix diets. A not so obvious choice, however, is selecting a place to accommodate your health and fitness needs. That is, of course, unless you have been to the Downtown Fitness Club of Rochester. I have been going to the DFC for three years, and I will be a member for as long as I live in Rochester.
The DFC is more than an athletic club; its like a family with a uniquely comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The staff is so friendly, the classes are great, the tanning is fantastic and there is something to be said for the laidback, hassle free approach to fitness. Frankly, the DFC is more concerned about their members than the membership, and that is truly hard to find with other gyms in the Rochester area. Perhaps the best example of this happened when I was a relatively new member at the club and a brand new cancer patient. John H (the owner and fitness guru) was extremely supportive throughout my whole ordeal and in a very generous act he actually extended my membership for the few months that I was in recovery! I knew in that moment that I really found more than just a gym.
As I continue to battle cancer issues, I have adopted a new perspective on life. I will stay as positive and as healthy as I can and continue to be actively dedicated my fitness. I am proud to utilize the wonderful services provided by the Downtown Fitness Club to achieve my goals. The positive influence of the DFC has inspired my lifestyle change and encouraged me to get into the best shape of my life. Say hello to size 6!
Just recently I dropped over 25 pounds and did I mention that the tanning is fantastic? Perhaps the best reward though, is the confidence and self-esteem that comes along with the dedication to a healthy lifestyle. I couldn't have done it without the DFC!
